Walkersville scores 64 in dominant opening-night win over Liberty
Sophomore quarterback Olock Jordan threw a school-record five touchdown passes in his varsity debut as Walkersville opened its 50th football season in dominant fashion.

Walkersville celebrated the start of its 50th season of football with one of the biggest offensive performances of opening weekend.
The Lions rolled past Liberty 64-8, breaking open a close game after the first quarter and scoring 50 points before halftime.
Sophomore quarterback Olock Jordan made a memorable varsity debut, throwing a school-record five touchdown passes and finishing with six total touchdowns, all in the first half.
Jordan completed his first 11 passes and finished 12-of-14 for 252 yards. Walkersville finished with more than 400 yards of total offense.
The performance stood out even more because of Walkersville’s youth. The roster includes 10 sophomores and freshman kicker Hudson Beaver, with several young players already playing major roles.
WHAT IT MEANS
Walkersville’s season opener showed that a young roster may be ready to contribute immediately. Jordan’s debut gives the Lions an early breakout storyline and could make Walkersville one of the most interesting local teams to follow this fall.
