The Frederick Keys are heading back to the playoffs after completing a dominant regular season with both the first- and second-half South Atlantic League North Division titles.

Game 2 will be played Thursday at 7 p.m. at Nymeo Field at Harry Grove Stadium, with Game 3, if necessary, also scheduled for Frederick on Friday at 7 p.m.
Frederick is seeking its first league championship since 2011, when the club won the Carolina League title. This is also the Keys’ first season back in affiliated baseball since 2019.
In Sunday’s win, Frederick scored all six of its runs in the second inning. DJ Layton hit a two-run double, while Enddy Azocar drove in two runs.
WHAT IT MEANS
Frederick has a legitimate chance to finish its first season back in affiliated baseball with a championship. Winning both halves of the division gives the Keys one of the strongest regular-season résumés in the league heading into the postseason.
