Fire destroys house near Myersville

A family lost their home overnight near Myersville, but thankfully everyone was out when firefighters arrived. Two adults were checked by EMS but did not need to go to the hospital.
A two-story home near Myersville was destroyed by fire early Wednesday morning, displacing two adults and three children, according to the Frederick County Division of Fire and Rescue Services. Crews were dispatched around 12:35 a.m. to 3974 Wistman Lane, where they found a two-story single-family home on fire. The home was deemed a total loss, the fire was ruled accidental, and the estimated loss was more than $400,000. About 60 firefighters responded, the fire was brought under control at 1:11 a.m., and the Red Cross was requested to help the displaced family.
