HERE'S WHAT WE KNOW

The reported incident occurred Oct. 12. Police reported burglary and property-destruction charges. No theft was reported.

A Frederick man faces burglary and property-destruction charges after an alleged break-in at The Mall in Columbia.

WCBM, carrying a WBFF report, says Howard County police responded around 12:35 a.m. Oct. 12 after someone reportedly forced open a door. Officers located Nichael Rosario, 29, nearby and arrested him following a short vehicle pursuit, police said.

Nothing was reported stolen.

Citing court records, the report says Rosario was held without bond, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for Nov. 12 at 1:15 p.m. Those details reflect the report’s account, not a separate court-record check.

WHAT IT MEANS

The charges are allegations, not a finding of guilt. A hearing date does not establish a case outcome.
