Tuscarora starts 2-0 for first time since 2017 with 44-14 win over Brunswick
The Titans dominated defensively and got 250 passing yards from Landon Rosenberg to open the season with back-to-back wins for the first time in nine years.

Landon Rosenberg threw for 250 yards and two touchdowns. Josh Brockenberry had 156 receiving yards. Tuscarora faces defending state champion Linganore next.
Tuscarora is off to its best start in nearly a decade.
The Titans beat Brunswick 44-14 on Thursday night, improving to 2-0 for the first time since 2017 and continuing what coach Ryan Hines sees as a major step forward in team chemistry and consistency.
Tuscarora’s defense was again a major reason why.
The Titans allowed only one touchdown for the second straight week and held Brunswick to just 90 total yards, including only five passing yards. Tuscarora also forced another interception, giving the defense five picks through the first two games.
Junior quarterback Landon Rosenberg led an offense that scored the program’s most points in a game since 2019. Rosenberg completed 14 of 22 passes for 250 yards and threw touchdown passes to Josh Brockenberry and Kamari Campbell.
Brockenberry finished with seven catches for 156 yards, while Jordan DeMar scored twice on the ground. Isaiah Nobles added a 43-yard punt-return touchdown just before halftime.
Despite the convincing win, Hines said the Titans still made too many mental mistakes, particularly with alignments and motions on offense.
Those errors will matter more next week when Tuscarora faces defending Class 3A state champion Linganore, a program the Titans have defeated only once in school history.
WHAT IT MEANS
Tuscarora’s fast start looks more substantial than simply winning two games.
The Titans are getting strong play on both sides of the ball, and their defense in particular has shown the kind of cohesion Hines has been trying to build. The upcoming matchup with Linganore will be the first major test of whether that progress can carry over against one of the county’s strongest programs.
