HERE'S WHAT WE KNOW
Final: Middletown 42, Frederick 7. Halftime: Middletown 42, Frederick 0. Records: Middletown 3–1; Frederick 1–3.
Middletown settled its Week 4 matchup with Frederick early, building a 42–0 halftime lead on the way to a 42–7 victory Friday, Sept. 25.
The Knights improved to 3–1. Frederick fell to 1–3 after earning its first victory a week earlier against South Hagerstown.
According to MaxPreps’ game recap, all of Middletown’s scoring came before halftime. Frederick scored seven points after the break, but the first-half deficit was too large to overcome.
The result gave Middletown a recovery from its previous loss to Oakdale. For the Cadets, it interrupted the momentum of their 38–12 win over South Hagerstown.
Both teams return to county competition Friday, Oct. 2. Middletown is scheduled to host Tuscarora, while Frederick travels to Linganore. Both kickoffs are listed for 6:30 p.m.
WHAT IT MEANS
The Knights enter October with three wins in four games. Frederick faces another demanding county matchup against unbeaten Linganore.
