Tuscarora volleyball stays unbeaten as county teams post big Tuesday results
Tuscarora improved to 4-0 with a sweep of Linganore, while Thomas Johnson rallied for a five-set volleyball win and several soccer and field hockey teams posted notable results.

Tuscarora volleyball remained unbeaten Tuesday as a busy night of Frederick County high school sports produced several standout performances.
The Titans swept Linganore 25-16, 25-17, 25-20 to improve to 4-0.
Lily King led Tuscarora with nine kills and 14 digs, while Jayla Harris added eight kills and 10 digs.
Setters Serena Treadwell and Zayna Brooks combined for 24 assists, and Megan Jay recorded 25 digs.
Middletown volleyball sweeps Walkersville
Middletown beat Walkersville 25-14, 25-17, 25-16.
Jocelyn Miller led the Knights with 10 kills, while Myka Wells recorded 21 assists.
Thomas Johnson rallies from two sets down
Thomas Johnson produced one of the night’s biggest comebacks.
The Patriots dropped the first two sets to South Hagerstown before rallying for a 20-25, 19-25, 25-19, 25-15, 15-13 victory.
Raylin Horst finished with 22 kills and 11 digs, while Ciarah Lee added 12 kills and 13 digs.
TJ improved to 3-1.
Walkersville boys soccer edges Middletown
Walkersville defeated Middletown 1-0 when Josh Bolanos scored with 15 minutes remaining.
Jorge Calderon sent a long ball forward to Bolanos, who beat a defender and drove a long shot over the goalkeeper.
Walkersville improved to 3-2.
Thomas Johnson boys soccer rolls
The Patriots remained unbeaten with a 9-1 win over South Hagerstown.
Kaleb Bohorquez, Mide Adeoye and Andrew Mayers each scored twice, while Brandon Bowens recorded three assists.
TJ improved to 3-0-1.
Brunswick gets hat trick from Matthew Garcia
Brunswick beat Williamsport 4-1 behind a hat trick from Matthew Garcia, who also recorded an assist.
The Railroaders improved to 3-4.
Oakdale girls soccer wins 3-0
Oakdale defeated North Hagerstown 3-0.
Riley Arnold, Gabby Gonzales and Ella Lebo each scored, while goalkeeper Grace Zoberbrier made three saves.
Oakdale improved to 2-1.
Linganore girls soccer scores seven
Linganore defeated Tuscarora 7-2.
The source material did not include Linganore individual statistics. Tuscarora’s Lyla Riggs scored both Titans goals, including one on a penalty kick, while goalkeeper Valeria Ordonez made 14 saves.
Mia Marquart breaks Walkersville field hockey record
Walkersville field hockey defeated Thomas Johnson 16-0, with Mia Marquart scoring six goals to break the program record for career goals.
Marquart also had three assists.
Destiny Shoemaker added five goals and five assists, while Jian Dunn scored four times.
Walkersville improved to 4-1.
