Police seek video after Hope Circle shooting leaves man critically injured
Investigators are asking nearby residents and businesses to review footage from 9:10 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25.

Police responded to the 100 block of Hope Circle at about 9:20 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25. The victim had been transported away before officers arrived. His reported condition was critical but stable as of Saturday’s release. Police are requesting footage from 9:10 to 9:30 p.m. Friday.
Frederick police are seeking surveillance footage after a man was shot Friday night, Sept. 25, in the 100 block of Hope Circle.
In a statement issued Saturday, Sept. 26, police said the man was in critical but stable condition.
Officers responded at approximately 9:20 p.m. to a report of a shooting in progress. Police said the victim had already been taken from the scene in a vehicle before officers arrived. Investigators later located him at an area hospital.
Hope Circle is off Pennsylvania Avenue near the Frederick Fairgrounds. The police release identifies the shooting location as the 100 block of Hope Circle; it does not connect the incident to an event at the fairgrounds.
Investigators asked residents and businesses around Hope Circle, Pennsylvania Avenue, Hamilton Station and nearby streets to check security-camera recordings from approximately 9:10 to 9:30 p.m. Friday.
